I had seen the Keira Knightly PSA but not the second one, which I thought was actually better. I think that all awareness helps the cause.
Concerning your last statement though, I just want to say that I think there are no PSA's about IPV against men because it is not the same public health, human rights issue that it is for women. There are different classifications of domestic violence and women are the only ones who can experience what is called 'intimate terrorism' and the only men who are abused experience what is called 'common couple violence' where both partners are often violent. Not only are men abused less but the abuse is different in a less serious way.
I suggest reading some of the most recent scholarly articles on IPV through google scholar, it's very interesting. This is just my opinion, but I think sometimes people detract from a large important issue by worrying about a very small minority.Tricia Jeannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02195843470750633418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5937090204202150917.post-36957871205628222732011-01-13T20:50:00.159-07:002011-01-13T20:50:00.159-07:00Thanks so much for sharing, Liese! Thanks so much for sharing, Liese!Alliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18078641281130561797noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5937090204202150917.post-68909069081457791122011-01-13T18:47:39.763-07:002011-01-13T18:47:39.763-07:00I volunteer with a Domestic Violence awareness cha...I volunteer with a Domestic Violence awareness charity called Courage to Hope. I've come to realize that so many people in the world do not see what a real problem this is. My heart breaks for every woman who has or is suffering from this abuse.

I included a link to a video that Courage to Hope made concerning the efforts being done in Ukraine.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgkkHN4Kj-w&feature=player_embeddedLiesehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09743724888365959570noreply@blogger.com
